A sterling second half comeback from London Scottish was not enough for victory at Plymouth Albion but it did secure them a losing bonus point as they went down 24-20.

Second half tries from Jim Thompson and Mark Irish dragged London Scottish back from the depths of a 21-3 half time deficit but Plymouth eventually held on to secure a narrow win.

Scottish had fallen behind early in the first half to two tries in as many minutes from Tom Bowen and Sean-Micheal Stephen. Paul Roberts then kicked three penalties as the home side established a commanding half time lead.

But Thompson's try sparked a Scottish revival as the away side came back ferociously in search of their first away win of the season. The sides traded penalties as Scottish came pouring forward and Mark Irish went over in the dying embers of the match to secure the losing bonus point.

There was even time for one final play as Scottish attempted to complete an amazing comeback but after going through the phases around the halfway line, a shuddering hit forced them to lose the ball and Plymouth booted the ball into touch for the win.
