Ben joined London Scottish ahead of the 2021/22 season having previously finished his studies at the University of Warwick.
He’s played rugby for as long as he can remember, starting at Warlingham RFC where he was part of the minis there. Despite now being a back row, Ben grew up playing as a scrum half and only made the switch to the pack at after a broken fibula at the end of his time playing at Wallington County Grammar School caused him to hit the gym for a year. It is a decision that paid off as in his first season as a back row he was picked to represent England Counties U20!
While at Warwick, Ben was a key part of the University’s first team and in his final year he also played for Super Series 7s side Apache and National Three outfit Broadstreet.
Predominantly an open side flanker Ben is looking forward to making the step up to Championship rugby and is excited to learn from other members of the squad as well as catching up with the likes of Noah Ferdinand who he played with at England Counties U20.
Ben spent much of the 2021/22 season out on loan at Old Albanians but is back at London Scottish for the 2022/23 season looking to make an impact on the Championship.
