This weekend London Scottish host Ealing Trailfinders at the Richmond Athletic Ground. This will be the second consecutive week the Trailfinders have played at the RAG after they played Richmond in the final round of the British and Irish Cup last week. Scottish will be looking to continue their good run of form and continue their four game unbeaten streak
The Scots will be looking to make amends on the last time these two sides met back in September, live on Sky Sports. It was a torrid day for Scottish as they let Ealing run away with the game 72-12. However, this Scottish side is currently unbeaten in four games and are a different entity to the outfit the Trailfinders faced at Vallis Way.
Alex Walker returns to the starting XV after not appearing during the two week British and Irish Cup break. Walker will run out tomorrow against his former side where he spent three seasons. There are also returns to the starting XV for 50-cap winger Matt Williams and England Under 20 full back Tom Parton.
Director of Rugby Dave Morris has decided to be keep Hooker Isaac Miller as his captain after impressing in the role during the B&I Cup. Miller retains the captaincy with Jonathan Mills and Danny Kenny both out injured.
Derrick Appiah returns to the front row and will partner skipper Miller and Phil Cringle. Ben Onyeama Christie drops to the bench despite impressing during the B&I Cup campaign. USA Eagle Dino Waldren is also named on the replacements bench.
Tjiuee Uanivi starts in the second row and is partnered by James Tyas. Tyas has had to deputise as a backup second row, shifting from his favoured position in the back row because of the extensive injury list Scottish have in the engine room. Dominic McGeekie aggravated an ankle injury this week, Gregor Gillanders has a knee ligament injury sustained against the Dragons Premiership Select and Jonathan Mills is in the process of recovering from a shoulder injury.
Club Captain Chris Walker starts on the openside as Matt Marley retains his place and shifts to blindside flanker. Joe Atkinson returns at number eight after being rested last weekend.
Former Trailfinder Walker regains the nine jersey and partners Player-Coach Jake Sharp for the eleventh time this season. Josh Barton misses out after a strong B&I Cup run and Ed Hoadley is named as replacement scrum half. Ben Mosses and Ross Neal are again named in the centres together and will be looking to neutralise the Ealing threats and spark Scottish’s attack.
Charlie Ingall keeps his place on the wing as Matt Williams and Tom Parton return.
