Director of Rugby Dave Morris has thrown in new signings Jacob Atkins and Oli Curry to start against Doncaster Knights tomorrow.
The pair arrived this week to provide some much needed injury cover to a depleted Scottish squad. Fly half Atkins arrives from London Irish and Curry makes the short trip over Kew Bridge as he joins from Ealing Trailfinders. Morris has also decided to give recalls to Ewan McQuillin, Fraser Lyle, Joe Luca Smith and Craig Holland in the starting XV.
The forward pack has two changes to the side that took on Ealing Trailfinders in the Greene King IPA Championship two weekends ago at the RAG. Ewan McQuillin is given a start over Phil Cringle who moves down to the bench and new arrival Oli Curry starts as Tjiuee Uanivi suffered a broken cheekbone against the Trailfinders.
Alex Walker will pair up with dual registered Atkins in the half backs. Matt Williams shifts from his favoured right wing to the left wing. Ben Mosses has had to withdraw from the squad after suffering a mild concussion during training this week. Fraser Lyle comes in at 12 and partners Ross Neal. Joe Luca Smith makes his Championship debut after impressing in the British and Irish Cup and Craig Holland returns from his loan at Chinnor to start at full back.
Dan George is the only player-coach named in the travelling squad, Jake Sharp and Jonathan Mills are both inured and will assist Dave Morris with coaching this weekend. Dynamic back rower Matt Eliet returns after a hand injury and Connor Hayhow has been brought back from his loan at Henley Hawks to provide cover on the bench.
