Powerful centre Ben Mosses has re-signed with London Scottish ahead of the 2018/19 season.
The ex-Bristol & Bath Rugby man has made eighteen appearances for the Scots this season, scoring six tries along the way and has formed a formidable centre partnership in Scottish’s midfield this season with Ross Neal.
Ben spoke frankly about the Scots 2017/18 campaign but was very optimistic and excited about next season after signing on for another year.
“I’m very happy to have re-signed with London Scottish, it’s not been the best year for us as a group on the pitch but I think when you have a complete revamp of a whole squad from the top down, you will always have bedding in issues. But, I believe if we can keep the majority of our squad and add a few quality additions we can really push up the table next season”
Mosses continued saying, “I’ve enjoyed my rugby this season and hope it reflects in my performances, it’s a great bunch of lads here and I look forward to working with them next year.”
Mosses also paid tribute to some key members around the club who have helped him settle in life in London and helped his transition to London Scottish.
“On another note – I would also like to highlight the guys off the field. Angus Stewart and Jamie Kirkwood have been amazing with my family and my partner Chantelle. They have made them feel so welcome at the club and have tirelessly worked to help me attain work experience outside of rugby. So for that I owe them massive thanks.
Director of Rugby Dave Morris was also thrilled to be retaining Ben’s services ahead of next season.
“We are delighted that Ben has re-signed for London Scottish. He has been a standout performer on the field for us this season and very influential off the field, passing on his experience to the younger players in the squad.”
“Ben is a very switched on young man who away from rugby is using his time wisely to gain valuable experiences in the city. Exploring life outside of rugby is something as a club we feel is very important as part of players continued personal development. I would like to publicly thank Angus Stewart and Jamie Kirkwood for their mentorship of Ben in this area.
Ben is joined today by James Tyas who has also signed on for next season. They are the first two players to commit ahead of the 2018/19 season.
