London Scottish is pleased to announce its first signing ahead of the 2019/20 season.
Promising Scottish flanker Lewis Wynne will join the Scots permanently after being on a season-long loan this season from Glasgow Warriors.
Former Scotland Under 20, Wynne has been in fine form this season and has been one of the most consistent standout performers. He has made 18 appearances so far this season. His form was so impressive earlier in the year that he was recalled by the SRU in November to play on a couple of occasions for Edinburgh in the Pro 14.
A nuisance at the breakdown and often found at the top of the tackle charts at the end of a game, Wynne is promising young Scottish talent that London Scottish will look to develop and continue to get the best out of.
Wynne was looking forward to staying with London Scottish next season after his season-long loan this year.
“This season at London Scottish has been very enjoyable, the boys and the coaching team were great from day one. Partnered with the old school club mentality and the dedicated supporters it has made it an easy decision to stay on for the upcoming season.”
Director of Rugby Dave Morris was pleased that Lewis had signed with the Scots.
“We are delighted that Lewis has committed to London Scottish next season. He is a fearsome competitor and the consistency of his performances this season has been exceptional. He is a leader through action and is hugely respected by everyone in the Club.”
