Billy Harding is another player who has confirmed that he will be a part of the London Scottish squad for the 2019/20 season.
Harding has been a revelation this season after joining from National One side Esher. Harding has made 19 appearances this season and scored four tries along the way.
The former England Counties player has been in scintillating form in 2019 with many of his trademark runs getting Scottish on the front foot in key games. Before joining the Scots, Billy spent time with Stourbridge in National Two South then made the move to Esher before joining the exiles.
A London Scottish lad from a young age, Harding came through the junior and colts ranks at Scottish before heading off to University and Men’s rugby. He has returned this season to the 1st XV and taken his opportunity with both hands.
Harding is happy to be staying with his boyhood club and excited about the prospect of another season in the Greene King IPA Championship.
“I am really pleased to be staying at Scottish after my first year in the Championship. It’s been really enjoyable and I am looking forward to another season. It is also a great feeling to re-sign after all the years spent at the Club as a junior.”
Director of Rugby Dave Morris is happy to see Billy sign on for another season at the RAG.
“Billy has been one of our success stories this season having signed from Esher in the summer. He is a local lad and a London Scottish junior, so he holds the Club dear to his heart and I think you can see that in his performances. He has progressed massively as a player and has solidly become a 1st XV regular this season with some exceptional performances. Hopefully Billy can continue to get better with us next season.”
Harding is the second hooker to commit ahead of next season after James Malcolm was announced last week.
