Fly half Jacob Perry will remain at London Scottish for his second season after signing a new contract with the Club.
Perry was looking forward to getting back out on the field for the Scots next season.
“I am really happy to have re-signed with the Club for next season. I feel as though I have learned a lot during this past season and before my injury I was playing some really good rugby. Its been a tough couple of months for me personally however, I am now through the other end and am excited to get back out on the pitch with the boys and helping them succeed.”
Perry joined the Scots from Hartpury College last summer and has had a good first term with Scottish despite suffering a head injury that ruled him out of action from January.
Despite not playing since the first month of the year, Perry still made 15 appearances for the Scots scoring 21 points. He spent a lot of the season competing with Rory Jennings for the number 10 shirt, with the pair often running out together at 10 & 12. The former Hartpury man will be looking to kick on next season as he competes with Harry Sheppard and Ollie Allsopp for the number 10 shirt.
Whilst playing for Hartpury College, where he spent 7 years, he amassed over 200 points in their unbeaten promotion season from National One and was one of the deadliest kickers in the league
Head Coach Graham Steadman was happy to secure the Bristolian’s services for another season.
“We are happy to keep Jacob at London Scottish for next season. He was a very important player for us at the beginning of the season before his injury derailed his season. We are pleased that he is now rehabbing hard and we are excited to get him back out on the pitch next season.”
