Club news update ahead of away fixture to Nottingham

16th October 2019
admin

The run of four consecutive home games has come to an end. We’ve seen four excellent performances from the team, three wins and a bonus point loss against perhaps the strongest team in the league Newcastle Falcons last weekend. Very well done to all those involved. Now it’s time to hit the road.

We travel to the Lady Bay this Friday 18th to play Nottingham, kick off 7:45pm. We beat them narrowly in the Cup game three weeks ago but they impressed in scoring 40 points in winning away from home in the Greene King IPA Championship last Saturday.  The boys will need to be at their very best to prevail this week and would really benefit from your vocal support.

Amongst the several standout performers against the Falcons was Mark Bright. He played the full 80 minutes, helping to neutralise the international Falcons back row and was named Man of the Match by President Paul Burnell. At the age of 40+, Mark is the Scots longest serving player by some way and his contract is crowd funded.

If you’re travelling to our away fixtures and want to be wearing London Scottish kit, then why not head over to our online shop which has a wide range of merchandise.

Our next match at home is against Ampthill, who join us this year from National 1, on Saturday 26th October, kick off 3pm. They have adapted to Championship life quickly and scored a notable Cup win away to neighbours Bedford Blues. We look forward to a good turnout! To purchase tickets for this match, click HERE.
