After securing a losing bonus point last week against Newcastle Falcons at home, the Exiles will be looking to get back to winning ways against Nottingham at the Lady Bay, kick off 7:45pm.
Head coach Graham Steadman has made two changes to the starting line-up, with Hugh Tizard, who played for Harlequins last weekend, coming into the second row and Matas Jurevicius dropping to the bench, whilst Matt Gordon takes over from Dan Barnes at inside centre who also drops to the bench.
James Malcolm will pack down alongside Jonny Harris and Kyle Whyte in the front row. Tizard joins Luke Frost in the second. Captain Lewis Wynne starts at open-side flanker, with Matt Eliet on the blind-side. Man of the match last weekend, Mark Bright, will keep his place at number 8.
Josh Barton and Harry Sheppard will look to continue their partnership at scrum-half and fly-half. Gordon, who has been nicknamed Flash Gordon after his try scoring moment last weekend, will pair up in the centre with birthday boy Elliott Creed. Jonas Mikalcius and Rob Stevenson retain their positions on the wings. Undertaking the full back duties will be Luke Hibberd.
Xavier Valentine and Ed Hoadley come on to the replacements bench to join Billy Harding, Jordan Brodley, Miles Wakeling and Harry Barlow.
Forwards’ coach Stevie Scott said: “This week will be a different challenge, as this is something new for us as a team this season. We’ve not played away from home yet, so that brings challenges within itself.
“I see this week as a bigger week than last because we were against a top team but playing within our own environment. This week we’re going to experience something different; travelling on the day of the game and playing that night. The boys are in a good place and are looking forward to that challenge.”
On Nottingham Scott said: “Nottingham are a good side who are always around the top half of the table and they’re a different team at home.
“We’re under no illusions how hard this game is going to be, but I think we’re excited and looking forward to going there and putting on a good performance backing up our previous four games.”
