The Exiles look forward to playing under the Friday night lights for the second time this season against Yorkshire Carnegie in the Greene King IPA Championship, kick off 7.45pm.
Having only secured a draw last weekend against Ampthill, the Scots will be looking to come away with a win this Friday.
Head coach Graham Steadman has made five changes to the starting line. Jordan Brodley comes in for Jonny Harris at loosehead prop, whilst James Malcolm takes over at hooker from Billy Harding, both Harris and Harding dropping to the bench. James Tyas replaces Matt Eliet at openside flanker in the final change to the forward pack.
Dan Barnes takes over fly half duties from Harry Sheppard. Rob Stevenson and Charlie Ingall return from injury to play on the right wing and at full back respectively.
There are only two changes to the replacements bench with Jack Ingall returning and new signing Will Magie looking to make his first appearance in a Scottish shirt.
On Yorkshire Carnegie, Steadman said: “They’re much improved from when we played them in the Cup, we certainly can’t underestimate them. I think there was a little bit of that last week against Ampthill, so that was a very harsh lesson we learnt, you cannot disrespect anyone in this league because every game has its different challenges.
“Yes, we will be favourites against them, having had that convincing victory against them in the Cup. Yorkshire are a very proud outfit and they’ll be coming down to upset our average start to the season in League. I think they will certainly fancy their chances, so we need to up the ante in terms of our performance.”
Each side have had to face a tight turn around this week – Scottish having played on Saturday and Yorkshire on Sunday.
On this Steadman said: “Tight turn arounds are quite tough, Yorkshire played Sunday and they’ve also got the travel day to contend with on Friday. They’ve only really got a two-day prep to play against us which is obviously not ideal for them.
“We’ve got an additional day, so we must take full advantage of that in terms of detail and what we’re going to deliver on the night come 7:45pm.”
