This Friday the Scots travel to the Gloucestershire countryside to take on Hartpury at The Gillman’s Ground, kick off 7.45pm.
Having come away with a bonus point in their first victory of their League campaign last week against Yorkshire Carnegie at home, the Exiles are looking to carry that momentum into their second fixture on the road.
Amongst several of the standout performers against Yorkshire Carnegie, including all four try scorers Matas Jurevicius, James Malcolm, Billy Harding and Charlie Ingall, was birthday boy Matt Gordon. The inside centre was destructive all evening, running some lovely support lines and offloading the ball to create Harding’s try. There’re still several player’s available to sponsors, if interested please contact Carson Russell russecars@aol.com.
It wasn’t until the start of this year that the Scots faced Hartpury in the 2018/19 season. They came away with a convincing 25-8 win at home, having suffered a disappointing run of games at the tail end of last year. Rob Stevenson going over to score one of three tries for the victors.
However, in the reverse fixture three months later Hartpury were the ones to come out on top securing a 43-22 win at home; both sides coming away with bonus points.
