The Exiles have made two changes to the starting XV for their away encounter against Doncaster Knights at Castle Park tomorrow; kick off 2:30pm.
Phil Cringle starts ahead of Kyle Whyte at tight-head prop, with Whyte dropping to the bench.
The Scots’ most capped player, Mark Bright, comes in to start at number 8 ahead of Matt Eliet, who hasn’t recovered from a HIA picked up last time out against Ealing Trailfinders. Miles Wakeling comes in to cover the back-row in his stead.
Lewis Holsey (Worcester Warriors) and Rory Brand (London Irish) both remain on loan and will look to make an impact off the bench. Joining them are Billy Harding, Jack Ingall and Ollie Allsopp.
In preparation for tomorrow’s fixture the Scots had a joint training session with England U20s on Tuesday ahead of their first match of the U20s 6 Nations against France.
On training, forwards coach Stevie Scot said: “To work with a different team is always good and it gives us an alternative perspective; which we have been doing throughout the season. For example, we trained with Fiji when they were here and off the back of that we put in a positive performance.”
The Knights currently sit one position below us in the Greene King IPA Championship table.
“We’re going to need a good performance and should take all the good things from last week to make this happen. We need to find that consistency through the full game. If we take those opportunities away from home, when they present themselves, then we will get the right performance.
“They’re in a similar league position to us and the middle of the table is becoming really tight. Every point matters at this time of season and we’re looking forward to a good game,” commented Scot on tomorrow’s fixture.
