London Scottish can today confirm that back-rower James Tyas will join the club for the 2017/18 season.
Tyas can play in all three back-row positions meaning he adds plenty of versatility to the pack, and has plenty of experience across a number of previous clubs.
The 25-year-old was at the Bath academy before making his debut for their first team, and also spent time with Worcester Warriors and Rotherham Titans.
Tyas featured for Scotland at Under 17, 18 and 20 level, playing alongside Jamie Stevenson and David Cherry.
He will be training full-time with the Scots whilst also continuing his performance analysis business, as well as also helping to coach the junior academy.
“After speaking to Dave Morris and hearing his vision for London Scottish I am very excited to be joining, particularly with the club’s history with Scotland and with my background playing for the Scotland age-group sides.” said the versatile forward.
He added: “I’m very happy to be playing full time at a club with fantastic support and facilities, and am looking forward to starting pre season and training hard over the coming months with the guys.”
