Captain Rory Bartle admitted that Saturday’s match against Jersey was a reflection of the inconsistent season so far.
The Scots trailed 31-7 at the break and then put in an outstanding performance in the second half scoring four tries but ultimately losing 33-37 at the Athletic Ground.
Bartle admits the dips in consistency need to be rectified ahead of the remaining six Championship fixtures.
“We let ourselves down in the first half but can be proud of the second half effort which makes it bitter sweet for us.” Said the skipper.
He added: “This season has been a rollercoaster in terms of performances but we have to take the positives and if we play like we did in the second half we can go to the Madejski with real confidence this weekend.”
