Today Under 6 & 7s coach Iain Whyte will start a 48 hour non-stop relay “Monster Triathlon” from Loch Ness in Northern Scotland to Teddington for Sabre trust.
Sabre Trust is a children’s charity focused on providing education and support to underprivileged kids in Ghana. They do absolutely fabulous work and they do this all on an extremely low cost base, maximising the value from every pound pledged. The company Iain works for have pledged to match the money he raises, so again every pound he can raise will become two for the charity.
Iain will be swimming three miles through chilly waters of Loch Ness, 550 mile cycle South against the prevailing wind and then finish up with a 45 mile run. All to be completed within 48 hours. He finishes on Friday 23rd September in time to recover before training at London Scottish on Sunday morning!
In 2016 alone four new schools are being built in the Western Region of Ghana and with funds raised from this Monster Triathlon they have a whole lot more planned.
