London Scottish have completed the signing of flanker Danny Kenny from Ealing Trailfinders.

Kenny, formerly captain of Ealing, can play across all three back-row positions, and has also played for Doncaster Knights and London Irish during his professional career. He also featured for Munster Academy and Leinster A in Ireland before moving to England.

The 27-year-old is excited to be moving across London for another season in the Greene King IPA Championship.

“The move to Scottish was always one I wanted as it is closer to home with having Scottish grandparents. From talking to Pete a few months ago he spoke of a young and exciting team that want to play rugby and I feel as though that is a game plan that suits me.”

He added: “From having a month off I'm very excited to meet some new players, get started and hopefully be part of something special next season.”

Head Coach Peter Richards is pleased to have more experience joining the team for the 16/17 campaign.

“Danny is an athletic and dynamic player, one of the fastest back-rowers in the league, who will add versatility and great ability, giving us another option in the back-row alongside Joe Atkinson as our exciting squad pulls together.”
