Academy player Dan James has now started his two month expedition to Africa with Bhubesi Pride.
Dan will be working with their coaching team to deliver sessions and tournaments throughout developing countries in Botswana, Namibia and South Africa.
Alongside this, Dan will be helping the charity to work with local businesses, NGOs and governing bodies to secure funding for the communities.
Richard Bennett, Founder and Managing Director of the foundation is thrilled that London Scottish have continued their support.
“Dan heads out to Africa and is set to be an integral part of the Pride this year. Following in the footsteps of London Scottish’s Will Manhire and Josh Smith, Dan will represent the club in a big way this year, joining the Pride for nearly two months in Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. Supported by The Bill McLaren Foundation, Dan has an exciting responsibility to showcase his love of the game and further develop the relationship between his club and Bhubesi Pride Foundation. We wish him well on his journey!”
Community Development Manager Ross Peacock is pleased to provide the opportunity of supporting the foundation.
“Working with Bhubesi over the past few years has not only given some of our younger players a great platform and some unforgettable experiences, but also continues to expand the London Scottish community outreach worldwide.”
He added: “We wish Dan all the best on his journey and look forward to his return.”
