London Scottish is accepting applications for the post of Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 16/17 season. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their skills within the professional sporting environment of a dynamic Greene King IPA Championship club.
Key Responsibilities: will include, but not be restricted to:
– Assistance in preparing and delivering a comprehensive S & C program to the First Team Squad
– Leading gym and field based sessions to the Squad
– Leading daily set up and closing procedures, as directed by the Head of S & C
– Data input and analysis of gym and field based sessions including testing
– Assistance in ensuring players are ready to perform in training and at games
– Ensuring confidentiality at all times
Person Specification:
– Must have an undergraduate degree in the relevant subject area
– UKSCA/CSCS is desirable
– Sound understanding of Excel and other software
– Understanding of the game of rugby union
– Outstanding work ethic and ability to work and communicate as part of a team
– Disciplined in the approach to work with ability “to think on their feet”
– Reliable and enthusiastic with the ability to work well under pressure
– Willingness to work unsociable hours (weekends and evenings as required)
Reports to: Head of S & C
Location: Teddington (training days), Richmond (home match days)
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Remuneration: Approximately £7,500 for the season
Start date: June 2016
