David Cherry is the latest player to have signed a new contract for the 16/17 season with London Scottish.
The hooker recently made his 40th appearance for the Scots, making him one of the most experienced players in the current squad.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed the competition with Adam Kwasnicki and Tyrone Moran for the number two shirt this season, and has featured in 22 matches so far in the 15/16 campaign.
Cherry moved to London Scottish ahead of the 2014/15 season from RBS Premiership outfit Currie having previously enjoyed a two-year spell at English National One side Tynedale whilst studying in Newcastle. He was a key part of the squad last season who achieved the club’s highest ever finish of third in the Greene King IPA Championship.
The former Scotland Under-18 captain is looking forward to another year with the Scots. “I’m delighted to have signed for next season.
I have enjoyed my two years so far at Scottish and a third year at the club gives me an exciting opportunity to further my career.”
Head Coach Peter Richards has seen the hooker develop in to a key member of the squad. “David is a regular for us and his experience for the club will stand us in good stead for the 16/17 campaign, as someone who has been in and around Scottish for a while now.”
