With the light dusting of snow quickly melting off the RAA London Scottish Under 12s were looking to maintain their unbeaten league run in this double header.

First up Teddington.  From kick off it was clear that the Teddington had set their  alarm clocks for early and loud and early pressure was all Teddington.  With most of the play in the Scottish half we were lucky not to concede early with Teddington missing at least two opportunities to exploit overlaps on the wing. Good runs from Seb and Felix came as Scottish awoke. But a quick Teddington tap penalty, exposed our sleepiness and Teddington were over the line for a try.
 
Right from the start of the 2nd half it was clear that Scottish had come to life, with vast increase in energy and commitment bringing improved rucking, passing and running.  As the energy levels soared both sides were warned about high tackles.  A further high tackle on the fearless Jude saw a Scottish penalty.  A quick tap & go followed by two line bursting, fully committed runs from first Ben and then Felix saw the ball over the try line.  Our improved energy and commitment continued but sustained Teddington pressure, including more missed overlaps finally told with another Teddington try.  2 tries to one in Teddingtons favour, a fair result and with the Scottish 2nd half performance much improved.
 
Next up Bank of England, beaten by Scottish in last years Five Nations at London French. This time round it was not to be and Bank were worthy winners.  Early play was dominated by Bank with both strong rucking and direct running.  An early try for Bank was nearly quickly followed by another but a try saving tackle by Felix saved the day.  However, close to half time Bank were across the try line again from a quick tap penalty given for accidental offside.  Despite much effort from all the boys we unable to get our game back to recent levels and two more Bank tries completed our ‘off’ day.
 
So our unbeaten run comes to an end. There were many good aspects to our play both as individuals and team and much to take forward on the training ground to restore winning ways.
