Scottish’s Anthony Kent rewarded for outstanding season

London Scottish’s Anthony Kent was awarded the Tommy McPherson trophy at the Friends of Scottish Rugby Dinner last night.

The trophy for the best young Scottish-qualified player of the season was presented by Sir William Purves, former chairman of HSBC.

Anthony is a  21 year old prop who has featured for the London Scottish 1st XV on a number of occasions this season, including coming on as a substitute during the pivotal victory over Barking. He is a former Scotland U20 player, who represented this age group at the U20 World Cup in Argentina in the summer of 2010, who spent his formative rugby career playing for Dundee High School in Scotland.

He has just completed his second full season with London Scottish and is currently combining his playing role with London Scottish with an Ancient History degree at Royal Holloway University.
