New London Scottish Head Coach Simon Amor has put the final piece in place of his new look squad, with the capture of scrum-half Alex Page.
Page joins senior playing group, and the ex-Wasps and Gloucester man will provide competition to Owain Walbyoff, Callum Grant and Amor himself for the number nine jersey.
With the players having been in training for almost a month now at The Athletic Ground, thoughts are now turning to an exciting pre-season campaign.
A two game trip to Scotland sees Scottish face Currie and Ayr, followed by a home game against near rivals London Welsh on 21st August. A trip to the Midlands completes the early season tests, with an engagement with the Loughborough Students.
The clash with London Welsh will be the only opportunity for fans to watch their team at home before it all begins for real against Blackheath on 4th September.
And with the fixture marking 125 years of the first ever meeting between the two famous exile clubs – Welsh's first – the excitement is growing for what should be a very keenly contested affair.
Both sides have significantly bolstered their ranks with fresh talent in the off season, with each having their own lofty aspirations. Phil Greening's side will look to mount another serious assault on the Championship play-offs, as well as enjoying a strong BIC bid, with Scottish looking to join them in the second tier of English rugby.
And with the anticipation raising, Tony Copsey, CEO of London Scottish, was keen to highlight just what was in store for fans on the day.
