Unsurprisingly all four of the Greene King IPA Championship play-off contenders have players nominated for April’s Player of the Month award.
Table toppers and promotion hopefuls Bristol Rugby are represented by Charlie Amesbury in the final monthly award of the season.
Amesbury has scored four tries in April, with two against Jersey and one versus rivals Worcester, capping a superb month for the winger.
The 29-year-old joined Bristol from Sale Sharks ahead of the 2013/14 campaign and has featured 27 times for the west country side in all competitions, scoring 15 times.
Bristol’s semi-final opposition, Rotherham Titans, receive their fourth nomination this season with Sean Scanlon making the shortlist.
An absolute constant in the Titans side for the last two season, the full-back has started in 20 games for the Yorkshire side since September.
Recognised as one of the most consistent performers in the league, Scanlon’s accuracy under the highball and his bravery in defence helped him stand out for the selection panel this month.
Matt Williams is also included from London Scottish.
The high-flying winger has remained a regular threat for the Exiles, keeping opposition defences on their toes with his try-scoring ability.
The former Moseley and Bristol man has scored ten times this season, including a crucial try that contributed to securing the club’s top four spot against Nottingham in the penultimate round.
Finally, Worcester Warriors stalwart Chris Pennell is named as the fourth nominee.
The England international fullback has rightly earned the title of Mr Reliable, having been a steadfast member of the Warriors team this season.
The former captain featured in all three April games, scoring two tries against Cornish Pirates and one against Yorkshire Carnegie.
