Scottish to host Bristol at Twickenham Stoop in potential semi-final clash.

London Scottish can today confirm that their potential Greene King IPA Championship play-off semi-final home leg against Bristol Rugby on Sunday, May 10, 1.45pm kick-off, will be played at The Twickenham Stoop, home of Harlequins.

Should the two teams meet each other, this change of venue is due to a clash of dates with a pre-arranged event being held at Richmond Athletic Ground on the same day.

Sky Sports, the official broadcasting partner of the Greene King IPA Championship, plans to broadcast both of Bristol Rugby's two-legged semi-final matches live on Sky Sports, the dates of which cannot be moved due to television scheduling.

London Scottish Chief Executive, Kenny Baillie, said: “Whilst it's disappointing we are unable to play a potential semi-final home leg against Bristol Rugby at Richmond Athletic Ground, this move to The Stoop is something which will generate huge excitement among all rugby fans.

“Richmond Athletic Ground has been something of a stronghold for London Scottish this season but playing one of the most important matches in the Club's recent history at a packed Premiership ground will I'm sure inspire the players.”

He added: “London Scottish is extremely grateful to both The Richmond Athletic Association and Harlequins Rugby Club for their co-operation throughout the process of securing The Twickenham Stoop as our alternative home venue, should we play Bristol in the play-offs.”
