London Scottish were delighted to host a pre season BBQ for its entire Club from the Minis to the Juniors to the Colts through to the Lions and the 1st XV. With over 400 in attendance this truly was a celebratory night for the Club as it enters into a new season.
Taking place at King’s House Sports Ground who put on fantastic hospitality for all London Scottish were excited to welcome the Deputy Lieutenant for the London Borough of Hounslow Rosie Prescott and Councillor Karen Smith, Mayor of Hounslow down to witness the Club in full swing.
The night began off with the Minis, Juniors and newly reformed Colts undertaking a pre season training session. Watched on by our esteemed guests, coaches of all of these age groups were able to demonstrate the hard work they have been putting in over the years to develop our next crop of stars as the Club develops.
As the night progressed the focus turned to the senior sections of the Club. The Lions took to the field to go through a gruly pre season session led by their new/player coach and Club legend Mark Bright. Sharing the field with the Lions were the 1st XV who were also put their their paces on a hot summers evening by Head Coach Joe Gray.
Rosie Prescott and Karen Smith were able to enjoy sessions from all areas of the Club and learn more about who London Scottish operates as well as the work that goes into making the Club tick.
Once the hard work was out of the way, everyone retired to pitchside and the bar to enjoy an excellent BBQ and a few well earned drinks. Here supporters, members, and players were able to mingle and get to know each other a bit better before a big season ahead.
All in all this was a fantastic, night for the whole Club as we came together to celebrate everything London Scottish in the best possible way.
