LONDON SCOTTISH PERFORMANCE
PRE-SEASON STRENGTH & CONDITIONING WORK EXPERIENCE
London Scottish is pleased to offer a 3-month voluntary work experience (June-September) scheme within their Performance Department assisting with the Strength & Conditioning staff during our 2015 pre-season training camp.
This role would suit a sixth form student or 1st year undergraduate with a strong desire to pursue a career in strength & conditioning in the future. The student will assist an experienced multi-disciplinary team to provide the London Scottish Strength & Conditioning Programme to the professional playing squad whilst being submersed in a stimulating and supportive learning environment.

This role would suit a sixth form student, gap year student or 1st year undergraduate with a strong desire to pursue a career in rugby coaching in the future.

London Scottish is pleased to offer x2 full-time / part-time work-based placements within their Performance Department assisting with the Strength & Conditioning staff for the full 2015-16 season. This placement is unpaid. The successful applicant will assist within an experienced multi-disciplinary team to provide the London Scottish Strength & Conditioning Programme to the professional playing squad whilst being submersed in a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will have access to the following throughout their placement with London Scottish;
– Ongoing S&C mentoring from the club’s senior Performance Department staff
– Internal & External CPD events, opportunities and courses
– In-depth, in-house and individualised MDT educational CPD programme
– Networking opportunities throughout the placement
– Opportunities to assist the squad on away trips, including overnight stays
– London Scottish kit provision
Essential Criteria
– Currently enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate study within a relevant subject area
– Seeking placement as part of university endorsed placement scheme (sandwich year or equivalent)
– Possess strong aspirations to pursue a career in strength & conditioning
– Evidence of up-to-date knowledge of strength and conditioning theory and its practical application within team sport
– Have experience providing strength & conditioning services to high-level athletes, preferably within team sports
Desirable Criteria
– NSCA Accreditation / NASM Certifications
– FMS Certifications
– Competent & confident in the use of Microsoft Excel
– Sports Massage Qualifications

London Scottish is pleased to offer x3 full-time / part-time work-based placements within their Performance Department assisting with the sports therapy / medical staff for the 2015-16 season. This placement is unpaid. The successful applicant will assist within an experienced multi-disciplinary team to provide the professional playing squad with a Championship leading medical provision whilst being submersed in a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will have access to the following throughout their placement with London Scottish;
– Ongoing mentoring from the club’s senior Performance Department staff
– Internal & External CPD events, opportunities and courses
– In-depth, in-house and individualised MDT educational CPD programme
– Networking opportunities throughout the placement
– Opportunities to assist the squad on away trips, including overnight stays
– London Scottish kit provision
Essential Criteria
– Up-to-date Emergency Aid / Basic Life Support training
– Appropriate Sports Massage / Soft Tissue qualification
– Strong aspirations to pursue a career in elite sport
Desirable Criteria
– Experience in sports injuries
– Currently participating in sport
