Skipper Bright thrilled with win over Moseley

Mark Bright says London Scottish have put themselves in a great position to secure a play-off place following an impressive 35-3 bonus-point win over Moseley this afternoon.

The league's top try scorer scored his 18th and 19th tries of the season adding to scores from Peter Lydon, Jamie Stevenson and Harry Sloan to consolidate third spot in the Greene King IPA Championship.

He said: “It’s a very pleasing win, the boys applied themselves really well and the rewards paid off in the second half.

“We had to grind things out in that first half and the most pleasing part was actually restricting Moseley to just three points after we lost to them in November.

“We’re taking nothing for granted but with a handful of games left we’re sitting third and if we keep winning we’ll be there at the end of the season.”

Scottish have a week off before heading to Jersey in a fortnight in their next match, a trip that Bright is already relishing.

He added: “It’ll be another tough game as they are very good at home but we’re all looking forward to it.

“We’ll have a few days off but then it’s all about a big push for the rest of the season.”
