London Scottish forward James Phillips has been called into the Championship XV squad to face Canada on Sunday, November 2nd.
The Bristolian has played in four of Scottish’s five Championship fixtures this season, scoring a try against Rotherham Titans in the opening weekend.
Last Saturday he captained Scottish against Pontypridd in a B&I Cup match which saw him cross for his second try of the season.
Commenting on Phillips' inclusion in the Championship XV squad, head coach Martin Haag said: “We’re delighted to have James join the Championship XV squad and would like to thank London Scottish for making him available.
“James is a big ball carrier and very dynamic around the park, so will give us additional options in the back-row.
“He also comes with plenty of experience from Exeter, Bristol, Cornish Pirates and Plymouth so we’re excited to have him involved.”
Phillips added: “I’m thrilled to have been selected for the Championship XV squad. It’s a real honour and I’m looking forward to the match against Canada already.
“I have settled in well at London Scottish this season and we have made a really positive start to the campaign.
“Mark Bright has started the season brilliantly and Miles Mantella is a real threat on the wing. It’s no surprise the two of them are also in the Championship XV squad.”
The Championship XV match against Canada is at Sixways Stadium on Sunday, November 2, 3.15pm kick-off.
Tickets for the game are available by visiting the Worcester Warriors website or calling the club’s Box Office on 01905 459309.
