THE COUNTDOWN IS ON – it’s less than three weeks until we host our friends from north of the border, Glasgow Warriors, on Saturday, August 30, 3pm kick-off, for the first time in more than 15 years!
The Warriors boast a hugely talented squad crammed full of internationalists, including British and Irish Lions stars Stuart Hogg and Euan Murray, and come into the clash off the back of their most successful ever season having reached last year's PRO12 final.
London Scottish finished fifth in the Greene King IPA Championship last season – their best league placing in 15 years – and will look to end their pre-season schedule on a high ahead of the league opener at the Athletic Ground against Rotherham Titans on Saturday, September 6, 3pm kick-off.
Against Glasgow, the hosts will be showcasing an exciting new-look squad which boasts 10 Scots as well as 18 new signings including former Stade Francais ace Peter Lydon, Exeter Chiefs back-rower Jamie Phillips and South African full-back Errie Claassens.
This hugely anticipated match will also see England Sevens player and London Scottish skipper Mark Bright lock horns with Stuart Hogg, Mark Bennett and Lee Jones for the first time since Scotland and England faced-off in the massively successful Commonwealth Games Sevens tournament last month.
