London Scottish prop forward Tomas Francis will be playing Premiership Rugby next season after agreeing a two-year contract with Exeter Chiefs.

Francis, 21, joined London Scottish last summer from Doncaster Knights and became a regular first team pick in November having scooped the man of the match award after Scottish’s 26-15 win over Leeds Carnegie at the Athletic Ground.
Since then he has become a cornerstone of the London Scottish forward pack and is now widely recognised as the stand-out tight-head prop in the Greene King IPA Championship.
London Scottish Head Coach James Buckland said: “Tomas has come a long way in a short space of time.
“It wasn’t an easy beginning of the season for him and he had to work exceptionally hard to get into the team.
“Since then he has been outstanding and it’s great that Tomas and London Scottish are getting the recognition for his progress this year.”
He continued: “We set goals at the beginning of the season for the boys to maximise their potential and as a Club we support players moving on to a higher level.
“London Scottish wants to recruit ambitious players and we are delighted Tomas has used London Scottish as a springboard to join the LV=Cup winners.
“We wish him all the best.”
Francis said: “The hardest thing about leaving London Scottish will be the bond I have made with the players and backroom staff.
“However I feel this is an opportunity I could not refuse and I am confident I can succeed in the Premiership at Exeter Chiefs.
“I am a totally different player now to the one that joined London Scottish and a lot of that is down to the work I have done with Mark Irish and James Buckland as well as Head of Strength and Conditioning Tim Harper.
“When I came to Scottish I was a 50 minute prop who would move from set-piece to set piece. Now I feel I can contribute for a whole 80 minutes.”
