London Scottish prop Lewis Thiede has agreed to join Rotherham Titans at the end of the season, signing a one-year contract.
The 23-year-old joined Scottish on a permanent deal last summer from London Wasps having spent the previous two seasons on loan at the Club.
This season he has seen his first team appearances limited due to the form of fellow tight-head prop Tomas Francis.
He also had a spell on the sidelines earlier in the season after suffering concussion against Rotherham in October before picking up an ankle injury.
London Scottish Head Coach James Buckland said: “Lewis hasn't played a lot this season but he has trained really hard and has been an important member of the squad.
“I am sure he will have a very good impact at Rotherham. Lewis is from up that neck of the woods and wants to be closer to home.
“It wasn’t too long ago that he was the stand-out tight-head in the Championship and I'm sure he will want to return to that standard.
“He is a good guy and we wish him all the best.”
