PJ Gidlow, signed in the summer from Saturday’s opponents Doncaster, is looking forward to taking on friends and former teammates this weekend.
A tough game against Bedford last weekend halted a promising start to the season but Gidlow feels Scottish can get back on track quickly.
Gidlow: “Pre-season went really well and coming into the Rotherham game we were confident we were going to beat Rotherham. We knew Newcastle was always going to be a tough game but we gave it a good go in the end.
The Bedford game; I’ve always liked playing at Bedford and going in at half time we were thinking we could beat them. Unfortunately it was a very poor second half from us.”
Saturday sees Gidlow face his old teammates, and he is definitely looking forward to it.
Gidlow: “I’ve still got mates up there and I’ve still kept in touch with guys like Matt Challinor, Chris Hallam, Kendo and some of the boys from last year. I’m looking forward to it, really looking forward to it and playing against them. It’s always nice to play against your mates and hopefully we will get a win at the end of it.”
