London Scottish can today confirm the signing of experienced scrum-half Alex Walker from Ealing Trailfinders for the 2017/18 season.

Walker joined Ealing in 2014, and was made captain before winning the supporters’ player of the year award for two successive seasons.

Prior to moving to Vallis Way, Walker represented Wales Sevens as well as wearing the red shirt at Under 18, 19 and 21 level.

He came through the ranks at Newport Gwent Dragons, and played 30 times for them before moving from Rodney Parade to Cardiff Blues.

The scrum-half will add huge strength to the number nine department, whilst competing with Ed Hoadley and Josh Barton for a place in the match day squad.

Walker is looking forward to a new challenge at the Athletic Ground:

“I am very pleased to be joining London Scottish next season. Having spoken to Dave Morris about his plans for this year it sounds like an exciting squad to be part of and I hope to bring as much experience as I can to the group. “

He continued: “There are a few familiar faces that I already know in the team and I am looking forward to joining up with the rest of the squad in the upcoming weeks for pre-season.”
