London Scottish is delighted to announce the signing of front row forward Austin Hay ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Austin joins from fellow Championship Club Bedford Blues where he gained valuable Championship experience last season. Hay started his rugby career at London Irish before making the move to Rosslyn Park in National 1.

He is a powerful front row forward who is strong at set piece time but can also offer a lot around the field. A position that is key in the Championship, London Scottish are excited to see Hay in an Exiles shirt this season.

Speaking on the news Austin has said “I’m absolutely buzzing to sign with London Scottish! It’s a club with incredible history and ambition, and I’m proud to be part of the journey ahead, especially with the new Championship Format. Can’t wait to get started, meet the lads, and put in the work on and off the field.”

Head Coach Joe Gray has commented on his new signing as well, stating “Austin looks a quality player, with experience at the top levels of the game, his experience and guile will be massive for us. I can’t wait to see how he goes this year and expect him to make a big impact!”
