London Scottish is delighted to announce the signature of former England Students centre Drew Locke, who will join the Club from Jersey in the summer, subject to a medical.
The 28-year old has been one of the Championship’s most consistent performers since joining Jersey two seasons ago from Gloucester.
He has been an ever-present in the Islanders side with his attacking qualities seeing him score nine tries this season, including a brace against London Scottish last month.
Locke, who recently made his 50th appearance for Jersey in their memorable win over Worcester Warriors, believes his best years are ahead of him and is looking forward to a new challenge next season.
“I believe I'm reaching my best form and playing some really good rugby,” Locke said this week.
“Playing against London Scottish in March felt a bit like a trial for me and I was really pleased with how that game went on a personal level.
“As a club, London Scottish keeps getting better year-on-year and, having met the coaches, I feel Scottish is a really good fit for me.
“I want to play for one of the top clubs in the league so I'm delighted to be joining London Scottish.”
London Scottish Director of Rugby, Mike Friday, said: “Drew is a player we have watched for a couple of seasons.
“He has always caused havoc against us so to now have him playing with us is great and we are sure his ability and energy both with ball in hand as well as in defence will only be a positive.”
He added: “We are very much looking forward to Drew arriving and I am sure his character on and off the pitch will be a major positive for this Club.”
