Former London Scottish Hooker David Cherry has been named in Gregor Townsend’s 39-man squad for the 2019 Guinness Six Nations.

The hooker has made 62 appearances for the Scots in his time in England’s capital bef0re he signed for Edinburgh at end of the 2016/17 season

Uncapped Cherry has been named in the squad alongside two other other uncapped Hookers Grant Stewart of Glasgow Warriors and Joe Kerr who is with Gallagher Premiership side Leicester  Tigers.

Cherry is joined in Townsend’s squad alongside two other former London Scots scrum half George Horne and prop forward D’Arcy Rae.

Yet again it is great to see another former London Scot gaining some international recognition and we wish Dave Cherry and the rest of the squad the best of luck in this year’s competition.
