Former London Scottish Hooker, David Cherry has signed terms to join Edinburgh Rugby next season.
Cherry arrived at London Scottish ahead of the 2014/15 season from current BT Premiership side Currie Chieftians. He went on to make 61 appearances in his time with the club over three seasons, scoring nine tries along the way.
The former Merchiston Castle schoolboy and Scotland U20 player left Scottish at the end of last season and headed to France to take an opportunity with Stade Nicois in Federale 2, the fourth tier of French rugby.
Cherry will be excited to return to the Capital and join his childhood club, who he represented at Under 16,17 & 18 levels. Cherry will also be under the tutelage of Head Coach Richard Cockerill who had this to say about the 110kg hooker, “David is a combative and physical player” something we can definitely attest for after seeing him reek havoc in many Championship defences during his three seasons at the Richmond Athletic Ground.

This is fantastic to see another London Scottish progressing in their career after it was announced earlier this week that George Horne was joining up with the Scotland squad.
We would like to wish David the best of luck next season and hope to see him nailing down that number two shirt for Edinburgh.
