Italian prop forward Derrick Appiah has moved to the Pro14 and will join Benetton Rugby, the club can confirm today.
Derrick joined the club at the beginning of this season after previously playing for Worcester Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby. He has International calibre too after representing Italy at Under 20 level and being called up to play for their ‘A’ side.
Derrick formed a formidable front row this season with the likes of Isaac Miller, Ewan McQuillin, Jonny Harris, Dino Waldren and Phil Cringle.
Appiah made twenty three appearances for the club this season scoring two tries. He became known for his big carries up field and some of the biggest hits of the season.

The big prop will join Benetton (formerly Treviso) and will be playing against the likes of Glasgow and Edinburgh week in week out. Benetton had a good season last term winning eleven matches and narrowly missing out on the Pro14 playoffs.
Everyone at London Scottish would like to wish Derrick the best of luck and thank him for all his efforts. We will all be monitoring his progress closely in the Pro14.
