Connor Hayhow, Max Berry, Basil Strang and Josh Barton have all been given the opportunity to go out on loan for the remainder of the season.
All four players have been given this opportunity to gain some invaluable competitive match experience but they can still be recalled to play for the Scots if needed.
Director of Rugby Dave Morris said of the outgoing loans, “we enter a very important stage of the season now where we want our wider squad playing competitively to ensure they are battle hardened and match sharp, ready for 1st team action when the opportunity presents itself. We are very lucky that the players are at three excellent clubs where we know they will continue to develop outside of the full-time training at Scottish. Connor, Max, Josh and Basil will be fully involved in their loan clubs training week and I expect them to represent London Scottish to a very high standard through their behaviours and complete commitment to Henley, Chinnor and Esher respectively.”
Hayhow and back rower Berry have both link up with Henley Hawks in National Two South. Hayhow made two appearances in the Greene King IPA Championship at the beginning of the season before tearing his hamstring and struggled to regain his place in the side.
Josh Barton will also be playing in National Two South for second placed Chinnor. The electric scrum half will be hoping to help Chinnor push for automatic promotion to National One.
Fly Half Strang will head to National One side Esher. Similarly to Hayhow, a hamstring injury scuppered Strang’s first team opportunities after appearing for the Scots earlier in the season away to Bedford Blues.
