George Horne was thrilled to leave Wales with a hard-fought victory over the Ospreys on Friday night.
The scrum-half made his first start for the Scots in the 23-16 win, and was delighted that the Scots made it two wins from two matches in this season’s British and Irish Cup.
“It was a really good result in difficult conditions against a good Ospreys team.” Said the 20-year-old.
The Scotland Under 20’s International added: “The forwards were outstanding in the set-piece and gave the backs a great platform to play. It’s a shame we couldn’t finish off a few more chances but it was a great result away from home.”
Horne joined Scottish in early November and has made a positive impact in both matches that he has featured in so far, and is looking to continue his form in to the Championship next weekend away at Bristol.
“I’m looking forward to what the next few weeks hold and hopefully we can keep getting positive results in the Championship to go alongside our strong performances in the British and Irish Cup.”
He continued: “I’m really enjoying my time at Scottish so far. The last couple of weeks have been great to get in to the team and the guys have helped a lot with settling in to the club.”
Scottish now return to Greene King IPA Championship action, and face Bristol Rugby at Ashton Gate on Friday, 27th November, 19:45 kick-off live on Sky Sports.
