Oli Grove says that the side’s recent run of excellent results has helped create a great spirit around the Club.
The centre has played a key role in helping Scottish to four wins from four games and the Club are unbeaten in the RFU Championship since before Christmas.
Grove says that the current run of form is brilliant to be part of as a player and that there is a positive atmosphere throughout the Club.
Grove: “This current run of form is brilliant to be part of – we’ve caused a few upsets in the Championship and won some games we weren't expected to. We really feel like since the New Year our season has started from fresh and there’s a great spirit around the club. Everyone’s enjoying being a part of it and playing their role.”
The ever-present centre – Grove has not missed a single Scottish game since the British and Irish Cup game against Moseley on October 20th – credits the change in coaching structure and the move to a full-time set-up as one of the primary reasons for Scottish's upturn in on-field fortunes.
“The change in structure has obviously been hugely beneficial. It’s great hearing different opinions on aspects of our performance and there are more people and resources to focus on individuals. James Buckland has come in and made a really big difference and obviously Simon Amor is doing a great job with the backs and Serge Betsen with the forwards. I think the results on the field have proved what a positive change it was.”
