London Scottish have signed scrum-half Jack Cullen from Munster ahead of the 2016/17 season.

Jack, the brother of fellow London Scot George Cullen, who also signed earlier in the summer, joins after three years in the Munster Academy.

The scrum-half moved to Munster from the Saracens youth programme in 2013, which gave him the path to develop in to an age group international.

The 21-year-old already has an impressive rugby CV, in 2015 he featured in four of Ireland’s U20 Six Nations games and was also called up for the World Rugby U20 Championship.

Cullen is looking forward to a new challenge at the Athletic Ground in the Greene King IPA Championship.

“I’m extremely excited to hopefully get on the pitch again and I’m looking forward to working with the team to get back out there and be part of a successful London Scottish side.”

Head Coach Peter Richards says that the young scrum-half is a great prospect and is one to watch for next season.

“Jack arrives from a top set up in Ireland and we are excited about what he can offer. He will add great depth and competition to our half-back pool, and it’s also great to have brothers together so I’m sure that him and George are both pleased.”
