The Herts-Middlesex League competition for our Youth sides has now finished and congratulations to the U14s who have earned promotion to Division Three.
The Under 17’s finished a creditable third in their Division Two age group section.
Unfortunately, the U15s weren’t quite so lucky, going down in their final game of the season to London Welsh. The winners of that game avoided the drop into Division Four. It’s worth pointing out, though, that there are seven divisions in that age group.
Reflecting on the Juniors season, Club Development Manager Corne Du Rand, said: “The juniors had a full season with the U14, U15 and U17 teams seeing new players added to their squads which bodes well for the future.
“Well done to all the teams this season for their efforts.
“To the team managers, coaches, water boys, first aiders, parents and supporter, I would like to say a massive thank-you for taking part in giving players the best opportunity to play the game in a competitive and healthy, fun environment at London Scottish.
“We’ll see you all for pre-season in August and the start of regular season in September.
“Finally good luck to the U17s who are going on tour over Easter.”
London Scottish are looking to recruit more players for the 2014/15 season and our junior age group squads will be U13, U15, U16 and U18 for the boys as well as U13 and U15 for girls rugby.
