The Club can confirm the players who will not be playing at The Athletic Ground next season as preseason for the new 19/20 season began on Tuesday.
Everyone at London Scottish would like to thank each departing player for their contributions whilst they have been at the Club.
Two players have decided to retire at the end of last season. Richie Vernon has retired after a glittering domestic and international career. He will now continue his work in the City. Henari Veratau has also called it a day after a very good career where he played both Super Rugby and in the NRL in Australia.
Centre Ben Mosses has departed after two strong seasons with the Scots. Mosses had a frustrating 2018/19 season as he battled injuries and only made 9 appearances. The 2017/18 Supporters Player of the Season will now depart for a playing opportunity in France.
Grayson Hart will make the switch to Bedford Blues after a strong single season with the Scots where he made 25 appearances and scored 16 points. One of the highlights to Grayson’s season was his man of the match display whilst playing at inside centre in the Championship Cup.
Matt Marley has left the Club after three seasons. The jackalling back rower had a tricky 2018/19 season with an unfortunate run of injuries. The Welshman amassed 34 caps for the Scots in three years and got over the whitewash four times.
Internationals Dino Waldren Jr and Tjiuee Uanivi will both leave the exiles after two seasons at the Club. Prop Waldren Jr leaves after 19 appearances and second rower Uanivi amassed 33 appearances. Both will be training hard to make the USA and Namibia sides respectively for the 2019 World Cup in Japan.
Utility back and current Scotland Under 20 Matt Davidson will also leave the Club. After 9 appearances Davidson was named part of Carl Hogg’s Under 20 squad for the World Rugby Under 20 Championship in Argentina. He started the first game of the tournament against South Africa as the Scots were beaten convincingly.
Second row Theo Vukasinovic will leave the Club and join Gallagher Premiership side Wasps. The Loughborough University alumnus stormed onto the scene with a strong Championship Cup campaign and went on to become a strong player in our pack.
Richard Palframan will move up to the Gallagher Premiership with Worcester Warriors. The tighthead joined last summer from London Irish and made 22 appearances for the Scots.
Top points scorer last season Rory Jennings will head up to Coventry next season after notching up 107 points this year. The former Bath man was a real solid player this year who had an exciting attacking game and resolute defensive skills.
Jimmy Litchfield leaves after returning for a second stint with the Club. The prop forward who can play on both sides of the scrum will move on after amassing 25 appearances.
Australian lock Byron Hodge will depart the RAG after joining from Rotherham Titans last summer. The former Sydney Uni player appeared twenty two times during his spell and scored one try.
Hooker Jared Saunders will leave the Club after one single season. Jared made a big impression off the pitch as well as on it this season as he helped out with S&C Coaching with the London Scottish Lions and coaching of the Under 18 Girls side.
Professional Entry Programme Hooker Bradley Clements will leave the Club after a single year with the Club after joining from Ealing Trailfinders. Brad will explore academic options at University.
