London Scottish are holding a Family and Friends Fun Day Out for our final home match against Rotherham Titans on April 7th. The day will feature a host of activities for young and old to enjoy alongside an exciting match!
From 1.15pm we are hosting a Sports Day Event, where we welcome all kids aged 7-14 down to take part in relays, challenges and fun games. This will be delivered by our Community team and lead by Community Manager Andrew Evans.
The Sports Day Event is sure to be a great way to get the children running around the Athletic Ground. As a reward for coming along and taking part in the games and the frivolities, our main sponsor Aberdeen Standard Investments are Providing every child who participates, a free meal to restore their energy before the Main Event.
The fun does not end there! We have also arranged for some fantastic activities before Kick-off!
We will have a Bucking Bronco at the Athletic Ground. Hop on and try to hold on as long as you can, with prizes up for grabs for the best London Scottish Highland Cowboy. For children who are not sure on trying to tame the Bronco, there will also be a bouncy castle which kids can enjoy when they don’t fancy watching the game on the field. In addition to all this entertainment we will also have the Cairnhill Passing Cage, which has been a regular presence at London Scottish fixtures this season. Encourage your children to try beat their mates’ or parents’ scores and see how they stack up against the 1st XV players’ passing speeds.
We will have a guard of honour – Aberdeen Standard Investments will kindly be providing thunder-sticks, which were very popular with fans at the Richmond derby in December. This is open to all minis and juniors who are in attendance on the day. Head down to the touchline a few minutes before the 3pm kick off and meet the Community team who will guide children into place. This is a great opportunity for children to get an up close and super personal view of both teams running out onto the field.
Continuing with our Family Sports Day theme, our sponsors at Albert Bartlett have volunteered some of their Tattie sacks for kids to race across the main pitch with a fantastic prize for the fastest young London Scot Fan. Be Pitch-side at Half-time to be part of it!
We hope you enjoy a great day out with us on Saturday April 7th. It will be a fantastic day and a great way to round out another season with London Scottish.
