London Scottish was delighted to host a coaching clinic for pupils from Tower House School last Saturday ahead of the first team’s clash with Cornish Pirates.
Community Development Officer Ross Peacock was joined by new London Scottish signing Dante Mama during the session where they worked on a number of skill-sets with the kids including passing , catching and spatial awareness, whilst emphasising the importance of teamwork.
After training the pupils formed a guard of honour as the teams ran out for the Greene King IPA Championship clash, before settling down to watch London Scottish record a great victory over the Pirates.
“It was fantastic to have the pupils from Tower House School down at the weekend,” Community Development Office Ross Peacock said.
“We established a relationship with the school earlier this month following a great session that first team coach James Buckland and Head of Strength and Conditioning Tim Harper ran for the school at the Bank of England Sports Centre.
“Following the success of that session we have seen the relationship continue to grow with pupils, parents and teachers from Tower House School making several appearances down at the Athletic Ground.”
He added: “This is an exciting new partnership between London Scottish and Tower House School and I look forward to further growing the relationship in the coming months.”
