Hosted once again at Isleworth and Syon school (a school that London Scottish has a Rugby Partnership with) the evening had a fantastic atmosphere with all the players, parents and coaches looking back over a great season for the juniors.

Paul Burnell, London Scottish’s president, handed out the awards and showed the players what can be achieved, having been a Scottish International and British and Irish Lion whilst playing for the club 30 years ago.

Matas Jurevicius was awarded Junior Academy “Player of the Season” for the second year running. Matas is the product of London Scottish’s Rugby Partnership with another School (Hayes) and has had a great season, including being selected for the England Counties U18’s to play vs Ireland in April

Hamish Whitear got the Junior Academy “Most Improved player” award, and was also one of five players – Richard Anderson, Andrew Conder, Ollie Staefel, Hamish Whitear and Fiona Kennedy (pictured above) who have played with London Scottish through all the age groups from U7 to U18 since joining way back in 2006

The Colts, who won their division this season, gave awards to:
Max Gallagher – Lions award
Arun Watkins – Most Improved
Taino Goveia – Player’s player of the season
Dan Masters – Player of the Season
They also gave the London Scottish “Flying Dutchman” award to Noah De Wild, who as an U18 was chosen to play for Netherlands U20 and is another product of our succesful Rugby Partnership with Hayes School.

The Junior Girls signed off their season end with an International game against SO Millavois a week beforehand, giving their senior squad a great opportunity to go out in style. Their awards were given to:

Frankie Woolf – Player of the Season

The U16’s are developing a good squad of players who are beginning to play a great style of play to take into the Colts next year. Their awards went to:

Max Cadogan – Most Improved
Cameron Edgar – Player’s Player of the season
Joseph Whittaker – Player of the Season

The U14’s are looking forward to league games next year, having played pool games for the last couple of season’s and coming out unbeaten. The benefits of having London Scottish First team winger Rob Stephenson included in the coaching team is obvious, and they celebrated with a tour to Jersey where they were again, unbeaten. Their awards went to:
