Saturday (8th November) saw the inaugural Ladies Day at London Scottish prove a huge success. The Richmond based rugby club welcomed over 200 girls for what was one of the largest rugby Ladies Day in the country! The event saw the Club, currently topping National League 3 with an unbeaten track record, tie up with local businesses Joy, Fishworks, Teddington Cheese, Pennyhill Park Spa and Cape Wine.
Complete with a fashion show, raffle, Butlers in the Buff, and finally auctioning of the 1st XV players, over £4000 was raised for London Scottish and Cancer Research. To top it all, London Scottish secured another bonus point on the pitch with a 45-8 win over Havant.
“The event was a huge success”, says Nick Evans, General Manager at London Scottish. “We are continually looking to improve our match day experience and attract a wider range of new supporters to the Club; I am confident that we achieved both those aims at the weekend. I would again like to thank all the local business that contributed to the fantastic selection of auction and raffle prizes. The next big event for us is our Cup game against Richmond on Sunday 23rd November – it promises to be a fantastic local rugby festival and a great day out for all the family.”
