London Scottish Minis hosted a very successful ‘Back to Rugby’ event on 1st September. With the sun shining, Minis players and potential new recruits had a great time enjoying the inflatables, rugby drills, a hog roast, a second hand kit store and an amazing crate stacking game provided by our headline sponsor Alexanders, who specialise in removals. There was also face-painting and story-telling for the young ones, a jewellery stall, a bar and a live DJ for the adults!
We also hosted a player registration tent where potential new recruits learnt about what makes London Scottish Minis such as great club to play for! We provide so much – training sessions every Sunday morning from qualified coaches, frequent Minis rugby festivals, away training, an end-of-season tour, as well as the opportunity to play matches at half time when the semi-pro London Scottish Championship side play. We actively engage with both boys and girls to join and we are very pleased we are beginning to build up girls numbers within the Minis section.
